The Journey of Black Americans; from Slavery to Freedom
Shackled explains the turbulent journey that Black-Americans as a whole went through, back from being captured and taken from Africa, into the New World (America), all the way to the freedom they currently have. Shackled takes you through the middle passage, hundreds of years of slavery and exploitation, the American civil war and President Lincoln, 91 years of segregation, and finally, the freedom granted in the 1960s. Also, the struggles and unfair treatment that Black-Americans currently go through in the only country they’ve ever known.
